Who Are the Southern Baptists? weekend!

We are really excited to spend some time with our good friend Steve and the rest of the WAtSB? crew!  Nik and I first met Steve at a benefit house show in Harrisonburg a few years back, Mild Winter was playing along with American Tourist, the Brooms, Cinnamon Band (i think) and Steve’s solo act called Knifework that was wrapping up a tour and heading home to Mananas.  We hit it off in the parking lot over some drinks and stayed in touch since then.  He helped Mild Winter and John and Ben summer tour find shows in the NOVA area, he got Mild Winter on a NOVA CD-r comp, now we are excited to get the spend the weekend playing some shows together, first time we have played together since that house show when we first met. His new cassette tape has a slamming Ataris cover on it!

Tonight we are kicking things off in Harrisonburg at the Blue Nile.  Coach will be joining us, this is my first time hearing them, so I am excited to check that out as well.  Tomorrow night we are heading to Charlottesville VA to play at the Blue Moon, Hunter Smith is joining us on that bill, which again, we are looking forward to meeting and hanging with Hunter.  Saturday we are heading up to DC, to play the Velvet Lounge, with Presto Bando, I haven’t heard much from them, so that should be fun as well.
