MACRoCk, Recording, Friends!
Thanks to everyone who came out last Wednesday to catch us at the Blue Nile, we had a lovely evening! Both The Great Unknown and Sean Walsh and the National Reserve were awesome, a big thank you to both of them for sharing the bill with us. The Great Unknown is out on the road for a good chunk of the next month, so catch them if they come to your town.
We are really excited about this upcoming week. Ben will be working with his lovely wife Melanie to finish his vocal tracks for the new EP, then we hope to track down and capture John Hostetter so he can lay down the bass tracks. Meanwhile Ben, Jason and Melanie are practicing for an acoustic show Sunday at the Blue Nile, and the full band will be practicing throughout the week for Friday’s MACRoCk show at Court Square Theatre.
On a personal note, MACRoCk is always one of my favorite times of the year. Friends roll into town, downtown Harrisonburg fills up, it normally marks the beginning of spring (we will see how that pans out this year). House shows, Yard Sales, BBQs, basically full time hanging through out the weekend. If you are from out of town, and haven’t made plans to come, it isn’t too late, tickets will be on sale the day of the show, and lodging can be found very easily, so come hang out!
Weekend Schedule
Friday - 6:50-7:20pm Court Square Theatre for MACRoCk
Saturday - 12-4pm Blue Nile - MACRoCk Label Expo (Funny/Not Funny Records table)
Sunday 4-11pm Blue Nile - MACRoCk Hangover Showcase (details soon)
We plan to update more about MACRoCk and recording through out the week, so check back!
